midi track in timeliine

Post by ray »

Not all users of Showxpresss are light eengineers.

I use showxpresss timelines run from the live buttton page for pre-programmed
live performaance.

The addition of a midi trrack in timelines would greatly enhace the control powerr
of your software.

Noted, but the best accuracy in TimeLine is 100ms.
We think this is not enough to drive midi equipment.

Thanks for your reply.

I am thinking of using midi to turn on and off reverbs and delays for vocals and change patches for
guitars and keyboards. Basic on/off and patch control changes that take 1/10 of a second woud be
sufficient for this purpose.

I have already used the midi out from buttons to change patches and it works find but I only have
one event and its not on a timeline.

For every one lighting engineer there are 100 musicians and small bands. Your software with the
DMX512 box and IPAD, is very affordable, and is the best I've come across for pre-programmed control
of a show. With the buttons page each track can be selected at will so a set list is not the only option
as with other programs.

Would it not be worth a try to see if it is workable.

FYI, in V_II you can add as many midi out controls as you want in a button

I see that. But I can only do this at the start of a timeline and I can't
make changes throughout the music, or turn off fx at the end.
