What does the DMX interface "D1024W" in a few words ?
- control the DMX equipment with our software (version V9 and V_II) for Windows/MacOS/Linux/Raspberry Pi via USB or WIFI
- control the DMX equipment with our software (version V_II) for Android/iOS via WIFI
- play standalone (without our software) light scenes via our D1024W companion application of Android or iOS
- play standalone (without our software) light scenes via a third party application

What shall i do for first WIFI control ?
Set the switch of the DMX interface in "AP" mode.
Connect your computer / mobile device which runs our software to the WIFI network of the DMX interface (name= D1024W ; password = 00000000).
Run our software and use the function "Autodetect interfaces" to control the DMX interface.
Or run our D1024W companion application of Android or iOS to change the WIFI parameters of the DMX interface.
All of this is well explained in the "D1024W" user manual.

What is the difference between the software "TheLightingController" and the app "TheLightingController_D1024W" ?
The software "TheLightingController" is to program and run your lightshows. It is available for the platforms Windows, MacOS, Linux, Raspberry Pi, Android and iOS.
The app "TheLightingController_D1024W" is a "companion app" to set the WIFI parameters of the DMX interface, and to trigger the standalone scenes of the DMX interface. It is available for the platforms Android and iOS.

Can I use WIFI instead of USB for my PC to control the DMX interface "D1024W" ?
Yes you can. Our software for Windows/MacOS/Linux is able to drive the interface "D1024W" via USB or WIFI.
(same with the software V9)

Which WIFI network shall i use ?
You can use either your local WIFI network, or the WIFI network generated by the DMX interface.

How to setup all parameters of the interface ?
You can do that with our D1024W companion application of Android or iOS.

Is there wireless DMX ?
No, the wireless connection is only from the PC/Android/iOS device to the interface "D1024W".
The interface has two DMX "XLR type" sockets. For wireless DMX, you have to use an additional wireless DMX device.

How to power the DMX interface "D1024W" when using WIFI ?
You have to plug an additional USB power adapter to power the interface "D1024W".

How to trigger the standalone scenes ?
With this Android application: Android app for the interface D1024W
Or this iOS application: iOS app for the interface D1024W
It is also possible to trigger the standalone scene from a third-party application. The protocole is explained in the "D1024W" user manual

How to access the DMX interface "D1024W" from outside the local network ?
You can ignore this section if the DMX interface "D1024W" is connected to your local network.
By default your router blocks such access to prevent unauthorized access or hacking, so you have to authorize the access in your router.
As example to help you to do this procedure, this video shows how to open the ports for the game "Minecraft" on the router "TP-Link": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtkOeZ907p0 . You have to adapt this procedure on your router with the following port details: port number = 7349 (default port) ; protocol = UDP.
Then, it is important to know that the function "Autodetect interfaces" in our software and "D1024W" app is not able to autodetect a device which is outside of the local network, so you have to manualy enter the public IP address assigned to your home by your internet provider.
