Slowly figuring out... Things work ONLY when you use the "Board Creator" AND switch ON 100% Dimmer, Shutter and Iris. Manual creation of dimmers doesn't work as you are never given those choices.

Understand why Beams would not be selectable in Boards. Saw earlier post about levels in dimmers in fixture profiles was causing problems. I deleted Dimmer levels but still no light output in 3d.
