Schools , small bars etc where there are non technical users a kiosk mode (like apple mdm kiosk mode) is something that is used to prevent unwanted actions and to lock a device down to a single app.
The V2 software seems to have some limitation that prevent this:
-For locked down pc / ipad etc (kiosk mode) is is a problem the beat detection is a separate program. In a locked down system is is not possible to switch between programs. Ipad can only have 1 locked down app running.
-For locked set-up i would love a mode in wich only the child window is visible, i know there is a locked to live mode but that is still to much info on the screen for the non-technical end user. (beat detection and bpm schould be added in this window to be usable.

Re: App not easy to use in a kiosk mode setup.
The beat detection program (Sound2Beat) is available only for computers (Windows, MacOS and Linux). It has to be a separate program because it has to be installed on the PC which plays the music.
Sorry but it is not possible to hide the main window and show only the child one.
In our opinion, the three parameters: "Access restricted to Live tabs", "Hide edit mode in Live" and "Admin password" offer a serious protection.

Re: App not easy to use in a kiosk mode setup
i use the microphone as an input. I understand beat will not be aviable on ipad? Or i have to use a seperate pc to connect to? Is this based on OSC messages? Would be more user friendly when integrated but maybe not that easy to do with all the different OS.
It is not that it is not safe in the current modes its more a information overload for the non technical end users. The product would be more versatile when we can present the end users with only the buttons they need.
On a locked down PC (i use inteset secure lockdown) is having a second program runnig a problem.
