Hi,
I know the new generator is better and covers alsmost all situation but there are exceptions.
For example:
-I want a running light over a bunch of pars were one par each time is off.
-I want a running light where a random looking strobe goes over the lights.
-For controlling exotic fixtures with fixed colors and multifuntional dmx channels like "showtec disco star" Especialy when for such a fixture there is no realy good profile (just an example).
Also in the past i used the steps editor to make buttons to enable the lamp, activate the iris of prisma, to activate a strobe channel etc. I do not get how to do this with only a generator. Lights like martin wizzard need a dedicated lamp on button.
The module "Steps" is still needed for special occasions

This is noted.
This is noted.
You can generate that straight in the module Boards via "Board Creator" > tab "Presets".in the past i used the steps editor to make buttons to enable the lamp, activate the iris of prisma, to activate a strobe channel etc. I do not get how to do this with only a generator

Two possibilities to do that with V_II.Also i used to make programs for the fogger : 5 minutes wait 30 seconds smoke for axemple.
1.
Add a board with two buttons.
Set the duration of 5mn for the first button and 30s for the second button.
Set the option "Chase play" for the board.
2.
Create one scene with two points.
Set the scene duration to 5mn30s.
Move the time point of the second point to the time 5mn in the timeline bar.
